Byng man accused of shooting wife requests jury trial

ADA, OK - A Byng man accused of murdering his wife on New Year's Day has requested a jury trial.

39-year-old Johnny Campbell is set to stand trial Dec. 3.

He's charged with first degree murder.

Pontotoc County sheriff's deputies said Campbell shot his wife Jennifer during an argument Jan. 1.

He is being held without bond in the Pontotoc County jail.
