Byng murder trial delayed

ADA, OK - The trial for a Byng man charged with murdering his wife has been delayed at his request.

39-year-old Johnny Quinn Campbell is charged with first degree murder. Campbell allegedly shot his wife Jennifer at their home on New Year's Day then fled the scene.

His trial was scheduled to begin this week but Pontotoc County Assistant District Attorney Jim Tillison said it was postponed at the defense's request.

A pretrial conference is set for December 20th at 8:30 a.m. The trial has not yet been rescheduled.
