BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an apparent medical condition was the cause of an accident in Bryan County Saturday night.
It happened just after 5 o'clock on U.S. Highway 69/75. According to OHP, 67-year-old William Welcome was headed north when he drove off the roadway.
"Crossed the center median and crossed over into the southbound lanes, went off the west side of the roadway struck a tree and a fence," Trooper Scott King said.
OHP says Welcome was taken to the hospital, but died a short time later from an apparent medical condition. Authorities say Welcome's brother was also in the vehicle, but was not injured.
