Candlelight vigil for woman killed when car crashed into home

DENISON, TX -- Family and friends are grieving the loss of a 28-year old Denison woman, killed in a freak accident Thursday night. At a candlelight vigil Friday, they told us the car that crashed into Jennifer Comstock's Denison home last night, took two lives.

It was a difficult evening for family, friends and co-workers as they remembered 28-year-old Jennifer Comstock.

"It's been very very rough, but we'll get through it one day at a time," Jennifer's friend, Linda Buff, said.

Jennifer was in her living room Thursday night when a car slammed into her home critically injuring her. She later died. Friends say she was pregnant.

Those who attended tonight's candlelight vigil shared their favorite memories of Jennifer and took turns placing roses next to her home.

"Ever since day one she's been so funny, so amazing and she's so helpful and we all loved her, I'll never forget her. She's the greatest person. We're going to miss her dearly," friend, Kamea Barnum said.

Denison police say another person was injured, but those injuries are not life threatening. No arrests have been made and the name of the driver, who allegedly crashed into the home, has not been released. They're still investigating what caused the accident.

"What we're just trying to determine is what really got everything started. And if anybody has witnessed and of this at all or has any information, we'd really like them to call the Denison Police Department. We'd really like to talk to them," Lt. Mike Eppler said.

Now, loved ones are left to cope with a devastating loss.

"To know Jennifer is to love Jennifer. She was an amazing person and we're going to miss her," Buff said.
