PARIS, TEXAS - A Candlelight vigil is planned for a Paris teen who died from injuries sustained in an accident.

North Lamar High School organized a candlelight vigil Thursday in memory of 16-year old student, Megan Weissenmayer, who died Wednesday afternoon due to injuries she suffered in a car accident Tuesday night.

Faculty and students referred to themselves as a close family, losing Megan was like losing a family member.

"The thing that stands out in my mind is just every day, I mean she would come in and give you a big hug." said band director, Randy Jones. "She would love on you, she was just a very very outgoing young lady, just very positive."

Even after death, Megan will be affecting many peoples lives, deciding at a young age to be an organ donor.

The school will release early on Monday, allowing faculty and students to attend the funeral service. Thursday's vigil will be in the east parking lot of the school at nine.
