Car accident in Stephens Co. claims one life

STEPHENS COUNTY, OK - Road conditions are being blamed for a fatal wreck Sunday morning in Stephens County.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. about half a mile west of County Road 294.

OHP reports state 25-year-old Misty Eggers of Marlow was driving east on Highway 7 when she hydroplaned and went off the roadway.

Eggers was pinned for approximately two hours before being freed by the Velma Fire Department.

Troopers said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
