Calera man hospitalized after car slammed into a tree in Bokchito

BOKCHITO, OKLAHOMA -- A Calera man is in the hospital after losing control of his car and crashing into a tree.

OHP says 22-year-old Erik Patty was speeding when he slammed into a tree off Highway 70 and Bray Road in Bokchito.

The crash happened just after 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon.

Patty was air lifted to Plano Medical Center in serious condition.

Troopers say the car was moving too fast for the road conditions.

There were no passengers in the car and no other vehicles were involved.
