CARTER COUNTY, OK -- A Davis man was injured in a Carter County semi accident early Saturday morning.

OHP says 46-year-old James Pierce was speeding along a curve on State Highway 7, when he left the roadway hit a telephone pole and then ran through a fence.

The crash happened just before 5:30 in Tatums.

Troopers say Pierce was taken to OU Medical Center with head and trunk injures.
