SHERMAN, TX- A Celina family is keeping their daughters memory alive and helping families in the process.
The third annual Leighton's Ride took place May 16th. It's a motorcycle ride that raises money for Leighton's Gift, an organization that helps purchase webcams that go into the NICU so families be connected to their child.
It was started by Leighton's parents Chris and Amy after she passed away just weeks after being born from Group B Strep.
"In her passing we wanted to do something that created a legacy for her and further the work we had done at the hospital and really made a lasting legacy and impression for her and so we came up with the idea to install webcams," Chris Skaggs, Leighton's dad, said.
If you would like to donate or find out more about Leighton's gift we've posted a link on this page.
