ADA, OK -- In November we reported on the death of a female Pontotoc County Jail inmate. On Wednesday, her cellmate was charged with her murder.
The OSBI tells us 27-year-old Summer Leigh Shaw admitted to an agent she snuck a small bag of meth into their cell, mixed it with water, and shared it with her cellmate Tammy Jordan.
Surveillance video from the night of November 11th showed Shaw and Jordan both drinking from a cup and Jordan complaining of shortness of breath and stomach pain. Jordan was found dead a short time later.
Shaw reportedly did not alert jail staff that Jordan needed medical help or that she'd taken the drug for fear she'd get in trouble.
She's charged with first degree murder and drug possession.
