Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine shroud melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
ADA, OK -- The Chickasaw Nation is partnering up with other organizations and law enforcement in Pontotoc County to host Walking to Stomp Out Sexual Assault this weekend.
There will be plenty of activities for the whole family including live music, free food and T-shirts, and free carousel and train rides.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and those putting on the walk hope it will raise more awareness around the community.
"The awareness of sexual assault is very lacking in our community," said Pontotoc County Victim Witness Coordinator, Christy Wilson. "We need to support those victims, recognize them, and make people aware of the services that are available."
