For the third year in a row the Chickasaw Nation is holding its Memorial Day celebration.
The Chickasaw Cultural Center is hosting activities Saturday and Sunday including basket weaving, pottery demonstrations and kids' crafts.
Visitors can also tour exhibits about Chickasaw customs and history.
Organizers say more than 400 people came out Saturday. All activities are free except for the exhibit hall.
The center's executive officer hopes visitors learn more about the Chickasaw Nation.
"Our traditional activities, a lot of our dancing, a lot of our games that we play," said Valorie Walters, executive officer of the Cultural Center. "And that's another way, another avenue for us to share our history and culture with everyone."
The celebration will continue Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
