ADA, OK - The Chickasaw Nation sponsored the 13th annual Ada Area Job Fair Thursday.

It was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex on North Broadway St.

More than fifty employers attended looking for job seekers with a variety of skill levels and experience.

Some of the registered employers were Arbuckle Truck Driving, The Chickasaw Nation and Dollar General stores.

Multiple branches of the military also attended the job fair searching for new recruits.

"We are looking for qualified applicants ages 18 to 27," Petty Officer Seth Carman with the U.S. Coast Guard said. "Education helps, physical fitness helps, being able to swim helps of course."

The event was open to the public.
