Choctaw Co. home destroyed in fire

CHOCTAW CO., OKLAHOMA -- A Choctaw County family is without a home tonight after it went up in flames yesterday.

Mark Dahl with Soper Fire Department says around 7 last night Soper, Grant, Hugo, Sawyer, Powderly and Faught fire departments all responded to the house fire in the southern part of Choctaw County.

Dahl says the fire took about 3 hours to contain. The home is a total loss.

The family members and their dogs made it out okay.

Dahl says the fire started in the front of the home. The state fire marshal is investigating.
