BONHAM, TX -- After three months and $7 million dollars of construction the Bonham community is celebrating the new I. W. Evans Intermediate School.

Residents and city officials gathered in the halls of I.W. Evans Monday evening as the plaque was unveiled dedicating the newly renovated facility.

Undersized classrooms, out dated equipment and utility problems have been replaced with brand new classrooms, a gym and a library dedicated to the late Rudy Wheeler.

Superintendent Dr. Marvin Beaty said, "He was a long time educator and had many accolades during his life but the greatest of which was loving kids and taking care of kids."

Guests were able to tour the memorial library after the dedication ceremony.
