Coal Co. deputy arrested for embezzlement

COAL COUNTY, OK - A Coal County Deputy accused of embezzlement has turned himself into authorities. 44-year-old John Rick Flournoy is accused of taking payment from the Coal County and Atoka County drug court for home visits and drug screenings that he never performed.

Coal County Sheriff Bryan Jump says Flournoy turned himself in around 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.

Jump says Flournoy is out on a personal recognizance bond, but would not comment on Flournoy's future with the department.
