Traffic around Loop 286 in Paris will be moving a little slower over the next couple of months.
A roadway construction project has limited several sections of the loop to one lane traffic. Road work began on March 18th to repair sections of concrete slabs that have cracked due to the heavy traffic.
"Sometimes the pavement fails, cracks and becomes rough then we have to replace it. Usually the summers are really brutal on this type of pavement." said
While Loop 286 is a two lane road, TXDOT will have to close a lane in construction areas, so be extremely cautious of flaggers. The cost of the project is 176-thousand dollars and is expected to be completed by the end of May.
