(LOVE COUNTY, OKLAHOMA) -- Drivers traveling south on I-35 in Oklahoma this week should expect delays in Love County.
Construction on a bridge rail near mile marker 8 begins Monday.
The highway will be down to one lane near Thackerville.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time traveling through the area.
OHP Trooper Ronnie Hampton says people need to be cautious of the workers, "anytime that you see workers very close to the road and there's not a fixed barrier next to you, you really need to decrease your speed, put your cellphones down, pay very close attention."
Hampton says "Highway 77 may be a good alternate route. Construction is expected to end Friday the 26th.
