Contract awarded for Paris' storm debris clean up

PARIS, TX-- The city of Paris awarded a contract to an Alabama based company to remove ice storm debris from the city's streets.

TNT Disaster Services was the lowest bidder at $3.43 per cubic yard, and they say they can get the job done in three weeks.

Papers were finalized Tuesday and the company plans on hitting the streets as early as Wednesday.

Residents can still drop off storm debris behind the sports pavilion until Saturday February 1st. After the first the brush site will be moved to SW 7th and Field Road.
