ARDMORE, OK -- The Regional Food Bank received a donation today that will provide hundreds of thousands of meals to hungry families throughout Oklahoma.
Mike Ford, the general manager of Dot Foods redistribution center in Ardmore, presented a check for $50,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma as part of their "Neighbor to Neighbor" program.
He says the funds will produce over 4,000,000 meals nationwide this year.
Ford says, "We've had a lot of success as a company and it's part of our culture to provide and share that success with the local community. We couldn't do it without our employees. Our employees are obviously a part of our community and this is just a natural extension of that partnership."
The Regional Food Bank distributes food to more than 90,000 Oklahomans each week.
