Day 2: La Mesa remains closed after several cases of norovirus reported

SHERMAN, TX -- Sherman's La Mesa Restaurant was closed for the second day due to several cases of norovirus.

The Grayson County Health department confirms 4 unrelated families showed symptoms of the norovirus after eating there.

They say the restaurant has been very compliant in reporting cases of employees with norovirus. So far they've reported 8 employees, one of which handled food.

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea and in severe cases the patient will experience extreme dehydration.
