DENISON, TX -- Art and wine lovers were toasting the city of Denison this Saturday and Sunday.
The City's Art and Wine Weekend is in full swing. Friday night main street shops opened up their doors and visitors enjoyed live music, art and wine tasting from local wineries.
The festival honors Denison local Thomas V. Munson who studied grapes and received the French Legion of Honor Award in 1888 for saving the French wine industry.
"So, we're celbrating that and the different wine heritage that's come about locally because of that," Main Street Director Donna Dow said. "We've got the viticultre center at Grayson and they've been really instrumental in this weekend and we've been on a wine trail and been to some local wineries that we have. So, it's just a good time and all about our heritage."
Events will be taking place all weekend long. Click the link below for a list of events.
