Denison ISD accepts bid from city

DENISON, TX-- The City of Denison now has the green light to recruit big business to the area.

Tuesday, the Denison Development Alliance officially bought 154 acres off of highway 75 and 84 from Denison ISD.

The district originally intended to build the new high school there, but decided to build off of 75 and 91 instead.

Tony Kaai with the DDA says they bought the land for $1.25 million and will now actively market the property to businesses.

He says there are several possibilities for the land including retail and service industries.
