DENISON, TX -- As demolition of the Katy Antique Station nears completion, the city council plans to discuss action on the project at Monday night's meeting.

The agenda item is listed under executive session.

Currently, the project is zoned as light industrial - the same zoning it's had for more than 40 years.

Faye Brockett, Planning and Zoning director, said that means manufacturing, like welding or automotive.

She said there have not been any attempts to re-zone the property yet.

But she says the city is still discussing whether to keep it or sell the property.

"There's a possibility of re-zoning it, maybe including it in the downtown area central district. Which would broaden the use possibilities of that location," she said.
