DENISON, TX -- The two brothers planning to open the city's first distillery have delayed the planned opening to look for a different location.

They're looking to buy an existing building instead of building their own, Jonathan Likarish said.

They'll have to petition the city council to re-zone the area once they buy it.

They petitioned the city council to re-zone a 2-acre track of land near Loy Lake back in November.

He said they decided to buy a building to speed up the process. They're still deciding what to do with the original land they bought for the location.

They plan to open their doors by the end of the summer, Likarish said.
