Denison house fire displaces four people

DENISON, TX -- Two people forced out of their home Wednesday night in below freezing temperatures when their home caught fire.

Denison fire officials say when they arrived to at 2706 Regal Drive around 8:45pm.

There was smoke and flames coming from the house and the bedroom where the fire started was fully engulfed.

Assistant Fire Chief Bill Ray says there was extensive heat and smoke damage to the home.

He says two of the four people who live there were in the home at the time but they got out safely.

Ray says the fire is not suspicious but the fire marshal will investigate the cause.

The Red Cross will assist the residents with a place to stay.
