Denison awards volunteers, business owners

DENISON, TX -- Business owners and volunteers were honored Tuesday night for their efforts to improve downtown denison.

More than 20 awards were given out at the celebration held at Devoli's restaurant on Main Street.
They were given to recipients for their community involvement, their efforts to revitalize downtown and to bring in visitors and shoppers.

Mainstreet Director, Donna Dow, says the big award is "Downtowner of the year", which went to Mainstreet Mall.

"It's about who has been most involved and who has done the most to support the activities we have in Downtown Denison," Dow said.

Children’s Center Honors Volunteers
