Dickson Police searching for man who escaped custody

DICKSON, OK -- Police in Dickson, Oklahoma need your help tonight to catch a man who escaped custody earlier Thursday considered armed and dangerous.

Police tell us they pulled over Ricky Parnell Forward around 11 a.m. Thursday morning for speeding.

He didn't have a valid driver's license so officers handcuffed him and put him in the back seat of a sheriff's cruiser, but police say as deputies searched his car somehow Forward escaped and took off on foot.

Inside his car officers found cocaine, meth, and marijuana.

Dickson police say they're actively looking for Forward.

He's a described as an early twenties black man, 6 feet tall weighing 125 pounds with short black hair.
