Dog rescued from Paris vet clinic fire

PARIS, TX-- The Paris Fire Department is investigating a fire at a veterinary clinic Tuesday night.

Fire Marshal Dale Maberry says just after 11 an off-duty police officer called 911 reporting smoke billowing from Paris Veterinary Associates in the 2700 block of Clarksville Street.

Crews arrived and found that a walk in refrigerator had caught fire.

They were able to quickly put out the blaze and rescue a dog safely from the building. They don't yet know what caused the fire.

The building suffered minimal damage.
