Dozens of job seekers come out to Ada Area Job Fair

ADA, OK -- Dozens of Ada residents came out to talk to potential employers today at the Ada area job fair.

Employers from all over town came out to the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex today to help hopeful residents find jobs.

Recruiters from various companies like Walmart, Chickasaw Nation, and Workforce Oklahoma were answering questions and providing information to job seekers.

One employer says coming to a job fair sometimes provides a less stressful environment for applicants.

"A lot of times, individuals tend to get nervous coming into an office," said Tim Hunt of Express Employment Professionals. "This is a relaxed environment and they have the comfort of seeing different vendors that are available and able to talk to them one-on-one."

The job fair was sponsored by several organizations including: The Chickasaw Nation, Ada Jobs Foundation, and Murray State College.
