Drivers in Durant fatal accident in stable condition

DURANT, OK-Three people involved in a fatal accident on Highway 69/75 in Durant Thursday are now in stable condition.

Durant police Lt. Chris Marcy said Carl Shipman of Cartwright was taken to MCSO, Oleta and David Calvert of Tulsa were taken to TMC, all are in stable condition.

Investigators said thick fog Thursday morning blinded Kenneth Anders Jr., an Illinois truck driver, who crashed into another semi and two other cars. Anders was killed.

That accident caused traffic delays for several hours.
