Durant police investigating false robbery report

DURANT, OK -- In September we reported that a 16-year-old Durant resident was robbed at his home, but after an investigation detectives learned the invasion was falsely reported.

According to the original report, the teen was home alone and three males tied him up and placed him in his bathroom.

Then they reportedly ransacked the home and stole firearms, ammunition and cross bows.

Police believe the invasion was fabricated and that the teen gave the guns to two convicted felons who pawned them.

Two warrants have been requested for Shawn Halley and Hayden Davis.

A report has also been given to the office of juvenile affairs since the 16-year-old filed the false police report.
