"Dylan's Drivers" fundraiser

LAMAR COUNTY, TX -- A Lamar County program that steers away from drinking and driving is having a fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 22nd.

Dylan's Drivers offers free rides to anyone in the county who has had too much to drink, or just needs a safe ride home.

Two vehicles run almost every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 p.m. To 3 in the morning.

A couple started the organization after their 20-year-old son Dylan Dallard died in an alcohol related crash last year.

The fundraiser will kick off at the Love Civic Center with a 5K and fun run at 8 in the morning.

There will also be a softball tournament, car show and much more.

All proceeds will go towards keeping Dylan's Drivers running.
