ECU football player pleads no contest to drug charge

ADA, OK - An East Central University football player accused of selling drugs to an undercover officer enters a plea of no contest.

22-year-old Armonty Bryant is charged with distribution of a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school.

Records show he was given five years of probation with the chance to have the felony charge removed from his record.

Bryant allegedly sold $20 dollars worth of marijuana to an undercover officer on two separate occasions.

He played defensive end for the ECU tigers. No word on his suspension from the team.
