ADA, OK -- ECU students will see an increase in tuition rates this coming fall semester.
According to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, ECU will see a 5.8 percent increase to tuition and other mandatory fees.
Undergraduate students will now pay over $140 per credit hour this school year compared to $133 last year.
President John Hargrave says the increase will help the university to continue to provide a great education to its students.
President Hargrave added, "We felt like a small, manageable tuition increase would be the best for our students," Hargrave said. "It allows us to keep offering them excellent programming, excellent facilities, and it keeps our staff and faculty taken care of."
President Hargrave says even with the increase, ECU is still one of the least expensive regional universities in the state.
