PARIS, TX-- A wreck early Wednesday morning caused over a thousand Paris homes and businesses to lose power.
Police say just after 4 A.M. they responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2400-block of Lamar Avenue.
The driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and struck a utility pole, causing nearly 1,500 homes and businesses in East Paris to lose power.
Oncor says power was fully restored to the area within an hour. The driver was not injured and the pole has been replaced.
