Evidence hearing continues in Sherman for TX death row inmate

SHERMAN, TX - A man convicted of killing four people in a Grayson County airplane hangar back in 1984 is in court today.

Lester Bower's attorneys say they have DNA evidence that exonerates him of the crime. A judge will determine if the evidence is enough.

Grayson County Criminal District Attorney Joe Brown says depending on the judge's ruling, Bower's case could either be overturned or his appeal could be dismissed and a new execution date ultimately set.

Bower has been on death row for more than 20 years.

Allison Harris was in the courtroom. She has more coming up tonight at 10.
