Ex-Ardmore community center director sentenced for embezzling from city

ARDMORE, OK - The former director of the HFV Wilson Community Center in Ardmore has been sentenced on embezzlement charges.

Kurt Lemley originally pleaded not guilty to five counts of embezzlement, but later entered a guilty plea to one of those counts as part of a plea bargain. It also requires Lemely to pay the full amount of restitution, which is more than $10,000. Lemley was sentenced Wednesday to four years suspended with 60 days in Carter County Jail.

The City fired Lemley last August after they say he charged $8,600 to a city credit card and PayPal account for personal use.
