Ex-Grayson County sheriff's deputy files motion for shock probation

SHERMAN, TX -- A former Grayson County sheriff's deputy who is serving 4 years in state prison for stealing items from evidence has filed a motion for "shock probation."

Errin Luton's attorney has filed a motion in the 59th District Court for "Shock Probation" which means he will be out on probation if granted after serving only 5 months of the 4 years he was sentence.

Luton was sentenced in december for stealing more than $20,000 dollars worth of items including guns.

The hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
