Ardmore, Oklahoma -- Friends will gather in Madill tomorrow to honor the memory of 16 year old Madison Nelson. Meanwhile, the murder suspect will head to court for the first time.

A candlelight service for Madison Nelson will be held at the Madill City Lake Friday night at nine. Family members say they'll remember her positive outlook and the impact she had on their lives.
They'll also pray for justice for Maddie.

Investigators say 31-year-old Keith Titsworth will make his first court appearance in Carter County Friday at 11 a.m.
He's facing first degree murder charges for the murder of Maddie

The teenager was found stabbed to death in a shed behind her mother's home in the 1500 block of Northeast 3rd Street in Ardmore.
Friends say she'd recently moved to Ardmore from Madill, where she was living with a grandparent, and had attended Madill High school.
Titsworth lived at the home with Maddie and her mother.

Police believe he acted alone and they aren't looking for any other suspects at this time.

Family and friends say Maddie had a big heart and is a friend on one could replace.
