Fannin County DA working on a new county website

FANNIN COUNTY, TX -- Fannin County District Attorney Richard Glaser is looking for new ways to better inform the public.

Glaser says he is building a website to help distribute information throughout Fannin County.

He's funneling discretionary funds, which will not come from taxpayers, to create the web channel.

Adding on to the county's current web-page would cost about $3,000 dollars but it will only cost about $1,500 dollars for the site he's buying.

Glaser says the website would allow residents easier access to the justice department, and push the county into the digital age.

Glaser said, "We have tried to improve criminal justice and we have come a long way but we still have a ways to go. Either keep moving or fall behind."

Glaser says the website is currently offline but plans to activate it by May 1st.
