MELISSA, TX-A Fannin county man was killed after an accident at a Melissa landfill.

Melissa Police Capt. Kyle Babcock said 20-year-old Shawn Roe of Honey Grove was killed at an accident at the North Texas Municipal Water District Landfill Thursday night. He said Roe was killed after he lost control of the dump truck he was driving, ejecting him from the truck.

"There's nothing suspicious here at all. The case right now is basically being investigated as an industrial accident. We don't have any reason to believe that there's any type of foul play involved and this is nothing else at this point but a tragic accident," Babcock said.
