POTTSBORO, TX - Police said alcohol could have been a factor in a car crash that killed an elderly Pottsboro woman and left another woman in critical condition.
It happened just before 4:30 Thursday afternoon on Highway 289 north of Pottsboro. Police said 42-year-old Amiee Konz was driving southbound on the wrong side of the road when she hit and killed 72-year-old Glenda Frazier of Pottsboro, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said Konz was also involved in a hit and run earlier today.
"There's numerous witnesses that stated she was traveling north and south on 289 and appeared to be lost driving very erratically at a high rate of speed on the wrong side of the road," said state trooper Mike Linnell.
Authorities say Konz was also involved in a hit and run earlier Thursday. She died from her injuries late last night at Texoma Medical Center.
