DENISON, TX -- A store is damaged after a fire Monday morning in Denison.
Firefighters responded to "Mckee's Metal" at the corner of Austin and Houston street just after 10 a.m.
Officials say the high winds caused the fire to spread to nearby trees and grass.
No one was inside the building at the time.
Assistant Chief Bill Ray says there were dangerous items inside the building that could have exploded.
Ray said, "The danger to this fire is that it was used for cutting metal there was a lot of aceteline and oxygen bottles located inside and fortunately we were able to get that fire cooled down before those started exploding."
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
