Fire destroys a building in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, TX -- Last night's high winds caused a fire that led traffic to back up in Gainesville.

This is iPhone video we got last night. Multiple fire departments worked to put out the blaze just off U.S. Highway 82 near Highway 371.

Gainesville fire chief, Steve Boone, said the fire started after winds knocked over a high line pole. The fire quickly engulfed this storage building.

A lane was closed on Highway 82 while firefighters brought water in from other locations.

Chief Boone said the building is a total loss.
