First West Nile death in Pontotoc County

PONTOTOC CO., OK -- The West Nile Virus has struck again, but this time in a new county.

A 65-year-old man died from the virus in Pontotoc County.

This is the first West Nile Virus death in the county this year.

Health officials say after the second freeze the threat of West Nile decreases, but we're not there yet.

Twelve people have died from West Nile in Oklahoma this year.
