'Fiscal Cliff' disagreements cause backlog in tax forms

SHERMAN, TX -- People showing up to the library to pick up their tax forms may have noticed they're not there yet.

The fiscal cliff negotiations held up the start of tax season. That means tax forms didn't hit the printer as early as they normally do.

The Sherman Public Library says they've received a few forms. But for the most part, the tax form shelf is still empty.

"The US printing office has to print all those forms. So it's going to be sometime late in January before we get most of what we need," said Michael Miller, with the Sherman Public Library.

In the meantime, anyone looking to file their taxes now can print the forms off the IRS website.
