PARIS, TX -- A former North Lamar High School employee has been indicted on charges of sexually assaulting a child.

According to the district clerks office, North Lamar's former equipment manager, Winton Braxton, was indicted on two counts of sexually assaulting a child.

Police say they received a call early last month from the parents of the victim telling them their 16-year old daughter was pregnant by Braxton. Investigators say Braxton admitted to having relations with the girl and turned himself in.

Paris Police say the child was not a student at North Lamar High School. He is set to be arraigned December 17th.
