SHERMAN, TX - A former local attorney has pleaded guilty to defrauding two of his deceased clients of more than half a million dollars, and then falsely presenting himself as a lawyer after he was disbarred.

Grayson County District Attorney Joe Brown says 70-year old E.C. Green of Denison pleaded guilty Friday to three felony counts.

When his office investigated Green, Brown says they found out he was disbarred after he stole the money, but continued to present himself as a practicing attorney.

In the plea agreement, Green faces a maximum of ten years in prison. He will be sentenced by a Dallas County district judge on January 5, 2012.
