SHERMAN, TX-- The race for Grayson County Sheriff got a little more crowded today. Brent Adams becomes the fourth Republican candidate to throw his hat into the ring.

Adams works in Grayson and Fannin Counties for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. He grew up in Fannin County and has been in law enforcement for 27 years. He believes he has qualities that set him apart from the other Republican candidates.

"I think folks are tired of the spit, polish and shine that you get from your local leaders and politicians. I think folks are ready for someone that's going to be honest and open with them," Adams said.

Adams faces incumbent Sheriff Keith Gary, Commissioner Johnny Waldrip, and Grayson County Lt. David Hawley in April's primary election.
